Motorcycles have always part of our family, as far back I we have traced. We have done everything from mining for gold in the Australian outback, fighting in tanks across the plains of Africa, tackling the Wild West… heck we were once even shot off a motorcycle (but thats another story)
We have always had motorcycles in our lives, however the name CHC comes from a different origin. In 1969, Ronnie Campbell started Campbell Hydraulic Clamps (CHC) which, as the name suggests manufactured hydraulic clamps.
While CHC wasn’t directly involved in motorcycling, what it did was engrave a very specific way of doing things, that is at the forefront of what CHC Racing is all about…
Inspiration
CHC did things in a very particular way, and perfection was all that would be accepted. With tolerances of 1/1000th inch (something similar to a modern day CNC Machine) for a hand crafted product is something special.
Reliability and attention to detail was key. One of the biggest criticisms that CHC had was that the products were too reliable, they didn’t break down or stop working, which the sales team always hated, as it made there job a lot more difficult!
In the same fashion, CHC Racing carries those exact same standards. In 9 years of racing, we have only had 1 DNF to our name, which was as a result of a mechanical failure. Reliability and attention to detail are key aspects of CHC Racing bikes.
In a similar fashion, the way the bikes & the CHC Racing team are presented are no different. Our bikes are turned out to the best possible standard, not only for ourselves, but for our sponsors. Showing their brand name in the same light as we want to show CHC is exactly the mythology we use.
